The site is located at the southern side of Naing village, at the foothills of the Bhit Rang and on the left bank of the Naing Nai. Due to passage of time and human vandalism the site is very much eroded and its dimensions are difficult to ascertain.
The site of Lakhmir ji Mari is divided into two parts layout, a conically-shaped hill and a lower town. The conically-shaped hill is approximately thirty meters high from its surroundings. On the slopes of the hill there are remains of terraced wall, possibly of fortifications wall which are still visible at different places. It is evident that the conically-shaped hill rests on a natural rock outcrop, but its form had been shaped by the addition of earth. Below the hill, or buthi, several remains of stone foundation wall are noticeable, which recommend these structures, were of rooms and houses.
